April 2015 – continuing – (Tech Talent Contract Agency)

Concierge / Ambassador for Office 365 for Business
Provide telephone support for Office 365 onboarding and implementation for small business including Exchange, Office software, SharePoint, One Drive for Business, Skype and Yammer for both desktop and online services.

2009-2014  Wealth Management Company

Bulk of experience as sole technical resource to 35 users of Office 365 with Exchange including compliance journaling; Satuit then Salesforce CRM, Bloomberg, Varonis file management, and Advent portfolio management.  Avaya phone system conversion.  Remote access via Juniper VPN; data continuity via backups and offsite replication.  Server and workstation support, hardware roll-outs.

Highlight Project:  With trusty part-time helper, stripped server room to bare walls and floor, installed new racks and fresh cabling for data and phone equipment including upgraded cooling system, on time and within budget.

2001 – 2008  Family Office / Hedgefund

Sole technical resource to 25 users of Windows networking with Exchange Server using Blackberry Enterprise Server and compliance vaulting, Bloomberg services, data file management and Juniper VPN.  Ongoing support of network function including data access controls and backup.

Highlight Project:  Supervised technical aspects of office move including server room design review and cable placement; network breakdown and re-assembly.

Hiatus Year:  2000

1992-1999  Law Offices

Training Services Coordinator for 150+ users using Exchange Server, PC Docs document management; legal research and timekeeping.  Redesigned “Word Processing Center” to upgraded Tech Services. Network Administrator for satellite office of 20 users.

Highlight Project:  Delivered front end user interface in Word and Excel for in-house legal document management system based on collaboration with back-end developer/boss.  Menu design, template construction, forms development, and customized macros.

Overview:  My work is distinguished by the caliber of ongoing documentation; recordkeeping is critical to assessing return on technical investment (inventory of hardware, software and services), establishing control of network variables (procedures, logs and checklists), and development of task-based user skills building (classroom, hands-on and virtual).
